HOW TO RESET/REMOVE YOUR LAPTOP ADMINISTRATIVE PASSWORD.

Many people have come across this problem where they will be required to enter ADMINISTRATIVE PASSWORD,  some are the people that mistakenly created the Administrative Password at the BIOS without them knowing that they did so, while some are the people that bought the laptop that has such an issue. But don't worry yourself because you will be thought on how to solve such an issue any time it arise. 

The Administrative Password  Reset we are emphasizing on here is mainly on  HP Compaq NC6220/6230, but the procedure can also be used on other Laptops.

NOTE: Administrative Password is mainly created at the BIOS, so always be very careful when you are opening, roaming or working on the BIOS Setup so that you will note create one mistakenly. Follow these steps bellow to reset/remove the Administrative Password.

HP Compaq NC6220/6230 BIOS password reset procedure:

1. Disconnect the power supply and remove the battery
2. Remove the three screws that hold in the keyboard on the bottom
3. Slide down the four slide tabs on the keyboard closest to the power button panel
4. Fold the keyboard over (no need to disconnect it from the Mainboard)
5. Using a tiny flat head pry up the power button panel along the edge of the screen
6. Bow the power button panel in the middle of the laptop and gently ease one side up
7. Unplug the connector for the power button panel and remove
8. Locate the CMOS battery in the upper right corner, follow the wire to the left and locate the connector at the upper left corner of the DVD drive
9. Remove the two screws located in the immediate vicinity of the CMOS battery connector
10. Detach the CMOS battery connector
11. Have a beer, sip slow and take at least five minutes
12. DO NOT reconnect the CMOS battery or the laptop battery
13. Connect the power supply and power on
14. Hit F10 to enter setup if you want to make any changes but if not GO TO STEP 16
15. If you did it right you should get right into the BIOS setup; change whatever settings you fancy, save and exit
16. Let the laptop finish POST then power off and disconnect the power supply
17. Reassemble it back, it is the reverse of above
18. It is done! 
19. Enjoy!

When you power on the laptop before the OS boots, you'll get a message about the date and time not being set, this will go away after the first full boot into the OS.
